Meet Leola

Leola Battle is an avid home cook and recipe collector living in Lorton, Virginia. Her love of cooking has been lifelong. As a little girl, she was introduced to the culinary arts by her mother, father, and grandmother whose dishes were well loved by family and friends alike. Leola would watch her family cook and uniquely recreate her own dishes. Leola is a home economist who majored in Family and Consumer Sciences (formerly Home Economics Education) at James Madison University. Leola also taught middle and high school in Alexandria, Virginia for decades where she imparted a love of cooking to her students and colleagues. Realizing her passion, Leola founded My Tastee Delites, LLC with her late husband, Donald, whose recipes are still featured on our menu. Through trial and error, Leola has curated a list of irresistible, tried-and-true products that she knows you will enjoy just as much as she enjoys making them.
